The artists blowing us out of the water next weekend all have one thing in common; they’re part of the DGTL Records family.
Beste Hira is an adventurous, strong-willed and motivated DJ and Producer living in Amsterdam, originally from Istanbul. Her character traits, combined with her creativity and discipline, define her as a unique talent.
Dax grew up in the UK as an avid fan of jungle, drum’n’bass and garage. He was heavily influenced by early innovators such as Goldie, Andy C and Bad Company, and his love for this simmering underground resulted in him starting to DJ on pirate radio whilst he was still at school.
Comrade Winston is no stranger to the rites of the dance floor. Fast mixing techniques and a taste for groovy, sexy and dangerous records, especially from the 90s, have given him a strong reputation within the techno community and have earned him a position as a steady player in the Amsterdam scene.
Genex is a techno DJ and producer moved by an all-or-nothing philosophy summed up in his motto, "In Full Swing." The raw rhythms and interesting grooves in Genex's music are inspired by 90s techno.
On Sunday we are starting off with Beswerda. Beswerda is a Dutch and Rotterdam based artist who is ready to take you on a musical and emotional journey with the combination of minimal and melodic techno.
Alinka is the kind of DJ other DJs will tell you about. She has a unique power on the decks that comes from lifelong passion and time served, with a focused devotion to her first love – house music.
Growing up between Scotland and Greece, Theo Kottis started out as a promoter in Edinburgh while still in his late teens, before subsequently turning his hand to the decks. He's since held down residencies at Glasgow's Sub Club and with FLY Club at Cabaret Voltaire in the capital and has built a reputation as a standout DJ both locally and internationally through his ability to adapt his sets to multiple moods and environments.
Amsterdam born and raised DJ/producer BELLA is the embodiment of uplifting house music. Riding the wave of new and interesting young artists the Dutch capital offers, she finds the sweet spot between respecting the old and embracing the new.
One small note: the Sub is a No Phone Zone.
Cameras will be taped off upon entry, because what happens below sea level, stays below sea level. We get it, some festival moments deserve to be captured. A flash of light, a sea of hands, the kind of day you’ll want to look back on when the dance floor is just a distant memory. And we’re all for that!
