Milio
Milio was born and raised in Den Bosch and began his musical journey as part of the eclec:c duo Tunnelvisions. Since 2020, he has been ac:ve solo under his alias Milio. Through this, he evolved into a true synthesizer expert and resident of the Willem Twee studios, welcoming ar:sts like Nicola Cruz, Carista, and Âme. Milio releases his music on Atomna:on and Maeve, labels that also host ar:sts such as Weval and Mano Le Tough. What sets Milio apart from the average dance producer is that in his produc:ons and live performances, where he oKen improvises and brings an impressive array of synthesizers to the stage, he demonstrates technical skills and expressive depth in analog sound. This is driven by a desire for experimenta:on, knowledge of music theory, and understanding of synthesizers. In 2021, Milio released his debut album 'Nachtzon' on Atomna:on. Psychedelic sounds and cap:va:ng melodies reflect Milio's quest for a new form of electronic music. He emphasizes, 'The music comes en:rely from within myself. It's who I am, and you can hear that. I don't make music to score hits.' However, this does not mean that his music doesn't actually score. Ar:sts like Dixon, Laurent Garnier, Peggy Gou, and Solomun praise him to the skies and con:nuously play his music.
