Liza Dries

Liza Dries is a Dutch-born, Berlin-based audiovisual artist, songwriter and producer connecting the immediacy of pop and electronic music with the ethereal. Her works explore both the earthly and otherworldly beauty where intimate themes are juxtaposed by digital, glitchy artifacts and harmonic vocals.

 

Earlier releases from Liza have been featured by a.o. BBC6 Radio, KEXP, Year0001, Kaltblut Magazine, Highclouds, Beats Per Minute and DMY. Her upcoming debut album “Year of Romance” (“YOR”), will be released on March 28th 2025 on Intercept Records, conjuring a palette where the DNA of hyperpop, shoegaze, breakbeat, house and ambient music coalesce.

Dries‘s multifaceted approach of sound, imagery and video art is practiced in both her own records  and  her many collaborative projects – traversing both the fields of pop and experimental music. Next to her solo work, she performs in rising electronic duo miaw, alongside Danish artist Frederik Fog, worked on an EP with fellow electronic composer Mathilde Nobel, and collaborated on tracks with a.o. Posij, Coloray and AV Freya.
