Anyone who has ever seen Natascha Polké live could easily assume that she is a born rock star in every respect: when she stands behind her equipment in clubs or on festival stages, she always comes across as charismatic and selfassured, as if born for the limelight. The truth is, of course, a little more complicated. Natascha Polké is certainly convinced of her musical skills - and rightly so! The 30-year-old from Zurich not only has an impressive catalog of releases to her name, she also has a Master of Arts in Music. Nevertheless, publicity is not necessarily in her blood. Natascha says she is rather introverted and has had to work on getting her nervousness under control at gigs and interviews. The young artist is also rather reserved on social media and prefers to let her music speak for itself instead of putting herself in the spotlight. The descendant of the famous German artist Sigmar Polke - founding father of Capitalist Realism - therefore classifies herself as a "studio mole". "In music studios, surrounded by synthesizers and drum machines, I feel in my element. I realized that even before I discovered the world of electronic music," says Polké.
